Emporia First Friday hosts a sticker competition each Spring to give local artists an opportunity to show off their design skills. Winning stickers are then printed and available for purchase.

Entry Requirements
Deadline: 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 27, 2024.
How to Submit: Entries must be submitted to emporiafirstfriday at gmail dot com. Please use the email subject, “EFF Sticker Contest.” Email must contain artist’s first & last name and phone number.
File Format: Vector-based designs (artwork created in Illustrator) should be submitted as PDF files.
Pixel-based designs (artwork created in Photoshop) should be submitted as JPG files at 300ppi. Artwork not meeting high-resolution requirements will not be accepted.
Sticker Shape: The final shape of the sticker is up to the designer, but the design should be approximately 4 square inches. Common sizes are 4" circles or 4" squares. Custom die cut shapes are acceptable but avoid small details in the overall shape.
Design criteria: Be creative! Sticker designs must be original work and include the words: Emporia First Friday Art Walk
Eligibility: The contest is open to all members of the public living in Emporia, KS + a 30-mile radius. All ages are welcome to enter. Entrants are limited to one design per person.
Permissions: Entrants assert that they either own or have the rights to use all content used in their designs. Entrants using third-party material (i.e. material not owned by entrant) must have received explicit permission from the owner to use these materials. The burden of determining that any material is not protected by copyright, trademark, rights of privacy, publicity, or any other proprietary rights rests with the entrant. The entrant shall bear the sole liability for any damage resulting from any infringement of copyrights, proprietary rights, or any other harm resulting from such a submission.
In addition, entrants grant Emporia First Friday royalty-free, perpetual, irrevocable, non-exclusive right and license to the images.
Judging: The top three designs will be selected by a jury chosen by the Emporia First Friday organizers.
Designs will be judged according to creativity and overall design.
Prizes: The first- second- and third-place and People’s Choice winners will be awarded a $50 cash prize and their sticker design will be printed.
Winners will be announced during the April Art Walk at the Presenting Venue, at 5:15 p.m. Please be present if you submit an entry.
