Ready to sign up for an Art Walk?

Rules for Artists:
The Art Walk is a family-friendly event that connects artists with the community and takes place in Downtown Emporia, Kansas. Please read and follow these rules to help ensure that all have a positive experience.
- To be listed on the Art Walk Passport, the artist must be presenting art to the community.
- Art must be made by the artist, appropriate to be viewed by all ages, and not infringe on any copyright laws. AI art or AI-assisted art is not accepted on the Art Walk.
- Sign up for the Art Walk at least one week in advance and pay the Participation Fee for each Art Walk. (If this fee is the reason you don’t sign up, please contact EFF as sponsorships are available.)
- One artist per venue unless pre-approved by EFF staff.
- Venues are filled first-come, first-served and availability is not guaranteed.
- The artist will be respectful to the hosting venue and its staff.
- The artist will set up and be present at the assigned venue for the entire Art Walk, 5 to 8:00 p.m.
- The artist will greet and sign passports for Art Walkers.
- The artist will provide their own cash for change and/or an electronic payment method.
- If cancellation is necessary, artists will provide EFF with at least 48 hours’ notice.
- To keep the Art Walk fresh and to ensure that every artist has an opportunity to participate, the same artist(s) may not be featured two months in a row.
Tips for Artists:
- Engage with Art Walkers as much as possible – ask questions and talk about art!
- Art Walkers enjoy demonstrations and watching art being made.
- Have business cards and/or social media QR codes available to increase connections after the Art Walk.

Sales Tax:
Artists are required to collect and pay sales tax on all sales. A certificate specific to each event will be provided to artists prior to the Art Walk for display. For more information on how to pay sales tax, visit our Sales Tax Info page.
