Community Mural Project, Trolley House Distillery
In September 2023, painting by Art Walkers began at Trolley House Distillery for a new community mural. The mural was designed by Alex and Andrea Polzin, who also oversaw the painting during the Art Walk. Funding was provided by the Community Arts Alliance, Mary and Brock Kretsinger, Emporia Celebrates the Flint Hills, and Trolley House Distillery.
Faces of Emporia Community Portrait Mural
June 2023's Art Walk saw the installation of the Faces of Emporia portrait mural project installation at 907 Commercial Street. This community mural was organized to illustrate and celebrate the diverse population in Emporia and was a collaborative effort with photographer Dave Leiker, Emporia First Friday and the Community Arts Alliance.
Community Mural Project, Earthly Delights
One of the first community mural projects organized by EFF was during the September 2022 Art Walk at Earthly Delights. Designed by Alex and Andrea Polzin of A & A Sign Writing with nearly 300 members of the Emporia community participating. Funding for the mural was provided by Sela Group.
