Sales Tax Info for Artists

Artists are responsible for collecting and paying sales tax as a participant of the Art Walk.

  • Each monthly Art Walk has a specific event certificate, form, and identifying number. This certificate will be emailed to participating artists prior to the event.
  • A physical copy of the certificate needs to be displayed during the Art Walk at the artist’s booth to show customers that sales tax is being collected.
  • Follow the instructions on the tax certificate to submit sales tax following the Art Walk.
  • Emporia First Friday is required to submit participant’s contact information to the Kansas Department of Revenue following each event.
