Ready to sign up for an Art Walk?

Note: The October 3 Art Walk is at capacity.
When registering, choose November 7 or December 5 to show you art!

Please read the following and fill the out the form below.

Rules for Artists:
The Art Walk is a family-friendly event that connects Artists with the community. These rules help ensure that all have a positive experience.

  • To be listed on the Art Walk Passport you must be presenting art to the community.
  • Art must be made by you, appropriate to be viewed by all ages, and not infringe on any copyright laws.
  • Sign up for the Art Walk at least one week in advance.
  • One Artist per Venue unless pre-approved by EFF staff.
  • Venues are filled first-come, first-served and availability is not guaranteed.
  • Pay the Participation Fee for each Art Walk.  (If this fee is the reason you don’t sign up, please contact EFF as sponsorships are available.)
  • To keep the Art Walk fresh and enticing and to ensure that every Artist gets a chance to participate, the same Artist(s) may not be featured two months in a row.
  • Be respectful to your venue and its staff!
  • Be set up and present at your assigned venue for the entire Art Walk, 5:00 – 8:00 p.m.
  • Greet and sign passports for Art Walkers.
  • Provide your own cash for change and/or electronic payment method.
  • If cancelation is necessary, give EFF at least 24 hours notice.

Tips for Artists:

  • Engage with Art Walkers as much as possible – ask questions and talk about your work!
  • Art Walkers love when you demonstrate and/or teach about your process.
  • Have business cards and/or social media QR codes available so customers can find you after the Art Walk.

Sales Tax:
Artists are required to collect and pay sales tax on all sales. A certificate specific to each event will be provided to artists prior to the Art Walk for display. For more information on how to pay sales tax, visit our Sales Tax Info page.

  • Please have your parent/guardian email Emporia First Friday to grant their permission for you to participate. Artists 16 and under will need a parent/guardian to remain with them during the Art Walk.
  • Do you have a public Instagram account dedicated to your art? If so, let us know your user name to be tagged in postings.
  • We encourage artists who are interested in presenting their work to attend at least one Art Walk before they sign up. Not required, but encouraged.

  • Help us help you! Quality images of your art help us promote you and are needed upon sign up for an Art Walk. Image files should be at least 1920 pixels wide and in jpg format, they will be cropped to 4:5 aspect ratio. Max file size is 8MB per image.
